Tranquility is a healing stone that helps me focus on what is really important in what I’m doing at the time. I get so many things going through my head that I need to take breaks many times throughout the day. I learned some techniques over the years that have helped me, and I’m about to share them.

I walk in tranquility, knowing God is my source within and my strength. This source is a part of everyone and everything, a divine connection. With a deep breath and a grateful, loving heart, I pause for a moment of peace. It doesn’t matter what I might be doing, where I’ve been, or even where I am going—this moment is filled with tranquility and stillness.

I feel the lasting blessing of centering myself in the love and peace of divine energy. Peace does not come from the absence of friction or stress. I am tranquil because I know Source is present in every situation, even those that might appear troubling or feel tense. I trust that divine order and divine timing are unfolding. I have faith that wherever I am headed, the power and presence of God and the source within go with me. I feel calm and safe in the assurance that, despite appearances, God is with and within me, and that all is truly well. These moments are the centering for my connection with the universe.

  1. Tranquility Through Faith: Trusting in a higher power provides a sense of calm and security, regardless of external circumstances. We can become tranquil anywhere at anytime. It is our safe space.
  2. Moment of Awareness: Taking time to pause and be present enhances feelings of peace and gratitude. We may need to take time out many different times during the day. I even wake up at night and practice the meditation and affirmations below.
  3. Presence in Challenges: Recognizing that divine presence exists even in difficult situations fosters resilience. What we do, no matter where we are, affects everything and everyone.
  4. Assurance and Safety: The belief that God accompanies us and is a part of everyone and everything provides comfort and confidence in our journey.

Affirmation

“I am surrounded by tranquility and divine love. In every moment, I breathe in peace and trust in God’s divine presence. I am centered, strong, and safe, knowing that I am guided by divine order and timing. No matter the circumstances, I choose to feel calm and assured that all is well. I embrace each day with gratitude and an open heart.”

Meditation for Tranquility

Duration: 10-15 minutes works best for me.

Preparation

  1. Find a Comfortable Space: Choose a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. You will be shutting out the noise just by meditating. I have even chosen a restroom in a hotel or lobby on different occasions to have privacy while traveling.
  2. Set an Intention: Before you begin, set an intention for your meditation. Imagine a space that is connected with your source at the time. You might say, “I intend to connect with the tranquility and peace within.”

Meditation Steps

  1. Close Your Eyes: Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, allowing your belly to rise. Hold for a moment, then slowly release the breath through your mouth.
  2. Focus on Your Breath: Breathe deeply and naturally. With each inhalation, imagine you are drawing in divine light and peace. With each exhalation, release tension, worry, and any negative thoughts.
  3. Visualize Tranquility: Picture a serene place that brings you peace—a quiet forest, a calm ocean, or a peaceful garden. Imagine yourself there, feeling the warmth of the sun, the gentle breeze, or the soft ground beneath you.
  4. Affirm Your Faith Belief System: As you breathe, softly repeat the affirmation:

“I am surrounded by tranquility.”

“I trust in my Higher Powers’ divine love and presence.”

“I am centered and strong.”

Allow these words to resonate within you, anchoring your spirit in trust and peace.

  1. Connect with Divine Presence: Take a few moments to feel the presence of Source, Higher Power around you. Visualize this divine energy enveloping you in warmth and light, assuring you that you are never alone.
  2. Gratitude Reflection*: Spend the last few moments reflecting on things you are grateful for—your strengths, your experiences, the peace within you, and the love that surrounds you.
  3. Gently Transition Back: When you are ready, begin to wiggle your fingers and toes, gradually bringing your awareness back to your surroundings. Take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes.
  4. Close with a Thank You: Take a moment to thank yourself for this time of reflection and spiritual connection. Carry this sense of tranquility with you throughout your day.

This reflection can serve as an inspiration for mindfulness practices, encouraging you to cultivate peace through faith and presence. I was taught this from a young age. First, I used to imagine myself surrounded by a golden white light, like a lotus flower protecting me. My father taught me this while we would go into a trance and let the spirit speak through us. It has always been a part of my daily routine.
