Unpacking a storage container this week brought a flood of memories from a conference that feels like a lifetime ago. I remember standing with Steve Hoffmann and Barbara Hero as we sponsored Dr. Masaru Emoto and his children to speak about the subtle, astonishing language of water. Barbara—musician, creator of the Lambdoma Keyboard, and a devoted practitioner of frequency and Solfeggio healing tones—brought an intuitive, musical sensibility to the event. Steve, a longtime friend and colleague versed in health, healing, and frequency work, anchored our efforts with steadiness and deep commitment. Together, we created a space where science, music, and spirit could meet.

Dr. Emoto’s work—photographing the crystallized patterns of water imprinted with words, thoughts, sounds, and intentions—was a revelation to many in the audience. Through his son (and, I believe, his daughter), who translated and carried his voice across a language barrier, we learned how intention and imprinting could shape water’s structure. The idea that water, a living medium in and of itself, could carry and transmit harmony when imprinted with specific frequencies or messages opened up new possibilities for healing and connection.

At the conference, we demonstrated how imprinted water might be used: drinking it to bring inner peace, placing it near someone to gently shift the atmosphere, or employing its resonance through distant-healing methodologies so that frequency could travel beyond physical proximity. The room felt electric with curiosity and hope. Barbara’s music—tuned to precise intervals and Solfeggio tones—helped translate the abstract into something the body could feel. Steve’s questions and insights pushed our understanding into practical territory. And Dr. Emoto’s images—those crystalline mandalas—spoke a universal language that needed no interpreter.

Years after the conference, Dr. Emoto’s son reached out to me. He sent a thoughtful note and a lovely card that reminded me of the warmth and humility that accompanied his father’s work. I purchased a Mini Kazutama water imprint system from him—an elegant, small device meant to imprint water with intention and frequency. Opening that package felt like reclaiming a piece of the conference’s magic. The system came with a handwritten thank-you, which now lies among my notes and photographs, a small but meaningful bridge between past collaboration and present memory.

Time moves on. Barbara Hero and Dr. Emoto have since passed away, leaving us their teachings and the luminous impressions of their lives. Their legacies—Barbara’s music and Dr. Emoto’s water imagery—continue to ripple through those of us they touched. I feel honored to have facilitated their presence at that conference and to have communicated with Dr. Emoto through his son when language made direct dialogue difficult.

Reconnecting with Steve recently has been a quiet blessing. Our shared history in health and frequency work forms a steady current beneath the surface of our lives. As I reassemble these artifacts—cards, photographs, the Mini Kazutama—I’m reminded that certain meetings aren’t just events but seeds. They grow in ways we can’t always predict: in friendships rekindled, in practices refined, and in the simple yet profound belief that intention, when focused through sound and water, can bring peace and harmony into the world.
